1979 Fuse-Guage Blowing - Help!
I know this may be a long shot, but maybe someone with some diagrams or extensive wiring knowledge may help. When I turn on the ignition, the "T" fuse which is 20A blows. From what I can tell, it is the Guages fuse. This car has custom Phantom Guages so not sure what this fuse looks at particularly. When I pulled the fuse, the right side of the connection in the fuse block measured 660 ohms to GND and the left side measure 0 ohms to GND, which I assume is the shorted side. My question is, where does the wire on the left side go and what may be the color? If somehow I can find that, then maybe I could trace the problem down.
thanks for any help.

I do not know of any fuse that is labeled "T" as you wrote.
You need to post a GOOD CLEAR photo of the fuse panel and show what fuse is popping on you.

See here: Looks like "T" goes to "fuse-gauges"

Depending on the year of your Corvette the GAUGES fuse protects several circuits.
You have to isolate each circuit to find the short.
Go back to the last thing that you adjusted or worked on as that might give you a clue.

The wiring diagram I have is completely different than the one in link above. Not even remotely the same.

From what little research I have been able to find is that the wire that comes off of the "T" or guages fuse is a PNK/BLK or Pink with Black stripe, but not sure if that is the only wire. Could be others bussed in on the fuse block.

Not sure about the gauges you have, but I'd take a hard look at the pcb behind the center dash cluster. It's common for the fingers on this pcb to become un-laminated and possibly touch another circuit causing the short.
Here is a factory wiring schematic for the 1979 cars.

Problem solved: The line to the oil pressure guage was leaking a little and got into the radio and wiring for the guages. What a mess, but wiring needed to be cleaned up anyway and refitted the oil pressure line. I really don't like those compression fittings at all.
