On a 93 LT1, with OBD1, can I interrogate the ECM to see what it shows for true mileage. Past records show over 128,000 miles, but the display shows only 34,000.
I need to get a scanner, and noticed several places have OBD2 scanner, with a converter cable to OBD1.

No on ECM scan- The mileage is stored in the CCM along with the VIN. With an appropriate scanner you could compare the VIN in the CCM to the windshield/chassis. There's no mileage any where else that can be confirmed. Instrument panel is only a 'display device'.
