Default SOLD Marrad C5 Ultra Low Seat mounting brackets

SOLD

$150 shipped in the lower 48

I purchased 2 sets of Marrad Ultra Low Seat mounting brackets for putting aftermarket seats in my C5. Come to find out there is a Sensor under the passenger side seat that the bracket will not clear.
(No info on the Marrad site that these Brackets are for Drivers side ONLY)

I ordered them unpainted so I could weld a seat belt receiver mounting bracket. I also ordered them with no holes drilled. None of the holes Marrad drilled matched up with my slider bracket and putting more holed into them made them look like swiss cheese. You can put the exact mount holes you need for your slider or side mount brackets, keeping the structural integrity at maximum.

If your 6'0" or taller, have aftermarket seats and ware a helmet in your C5, these will definitely be of benefit to you, giving you more head room.

Here is my set installed in the Drivers side

Here is the Marrad compared to the Planted brand C5 seat mount bracket.
its 3/8" lower in the front and a full inch lower in the rear

You can move that sensor. It will just need to be attached somewhere that it can be oriented the same way. It's an accelerometer and is used for the TC system I believe.

Default Moving lateral accelerometer

Yah, I’m not too keen on moving a sensor that is part of the safety package. Lowering the passenger seat is a low priority. The Planted brand seat mount bracket will work fine.

Sure, to each their own. In case you change your mind, or a for a potential buyer for your bracket, here's what I did...

I simply popped the bracket for the sensor off the floor. The glue holding it down isn't crazy strong. Under the console I unwrapped the wiring for the sensor where it ties into the rest of the harness to get it a few more inches of length, then rewrapped the exposed wiring in electrical tape. Lastly, I just moved the sensor back and toward the outside a few inches and glued it back down in the same orientation that it was from the factory and trimmed the carpet accordingly. Viola!
