I need to remove the rear center bumper (that frames the license plate). Anyone know how to remove the two carriage bolts? It's very difficult to gain access to the nuts that are wedged between the body and the spare tire compartment. I can barely get my hand in there to feel the nut much the less get a socket on it. Any help is appreciated.

If I remember right a small box end or open end will get up in there. A second pair of hands really helps!

I'll give it a try but it's a very tight space. Even if I can get the wrench in there I'm not sure how much angular movement I can get

how about using a gearwrench type wrench?
