Z06 chip in ZR1?
I just bought a nice 1990 ZR1 and was curious to see if it had a AYBGK chip. I opened the ECM and saw this:
It says Z06 on it and Jerry Fons.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
On a a cool side note, the owners manual seems to have been signed by someone:

Good question. The chip could be reprogrammed w/o the label being changed???
Do the secondaries operate like a ZR-1? (There was no C4 Z06, of course, and the C5 and C6Z is a different computer entirely...so..

I am curious as to whay has been done with the programming as well. I have been working on my particular program to fine tune it to my car.
if can take a look at the program and tell you what has been modified/changed from the stock data. Just get it to me, I'll read it and send it back.

Yep, they operate as they should. I figure some dude named Jerry Fons put in a new chip 08/10/1995. I wonder if it is a AYBGK chip with a 90Z sticker over it?
