Default 4 post body lift

Thought i would post some pics of the body lift from this weekend. It was about as easy as it gets for those thinking about it and required no additional set of hands. I used a number of ratchet straps first cinched to the lift ramps to act as a base to attach the straps used for lifting the body. 3 on each side and one for the nose. I also used some pipe insulation to protect the body from the strap. Lowered the lift as far as it would go, attached the straps, ratchet them tight and lift inch by inch. I did remove the gas tank but don't think it was necessary. Clearance was about 5 inches but it was enough. The body dolly was as per Noland Adams. Made it out of same spare lumber I had. Only had to buy the dolly wheels, $120, and a few more ratchet straps (i had several already).
Worked like a charm. It was something I was concerned about but was very pleased and uneventful. For those with a 4 post lift at their disposal and wondering if its possible it does work well.

Good job. Wish I had had my lift back when I pulled mine.

Looks like you followed the plan exactly and notched 4x4's for the corners. I built mine from 2 2x4's at right angles, will have to see whether that works or not. The issue is not with strength, but with clearance for the floor as it is lowered down.
