Default 1937 DeSoto

Here is a pic of the car I learned how to drive in, a brand new 1937 DeSoto. I was 10 years old...

Above is the car I learned to drive in, a brand new 1963 Pontiac Catalina that my folk’s just bought. That’s me on the quarter panel when I was 11 years old.

Here I am driving the same car 55 years later. It still runs real nice.

My first car was a '38 Dodge 4 door....similar to cohoskip's. What dog; it used more oil than gas, but I loved it dearly. It was access to freedom; no more mom and dad providing driver service.

My dad's first NEW car was a 64' dark blue Catalina sedan with a 326 in it.

The first thing I drove was an Allis Chalmers CA tractor. The first car/truck was a 54 Dodge pickup. Growing up on a farm, you learned to help out (including driving equipment)at an early age. I was driving a pickup or tractor and a couple of wagons to the elevator in town long before I could even think of getting a drivers license.

This one has a 389 in it - lots of top end.
