Default Edelbrock 2650 vs 1700 swap dyno... finally numbers are in

Redline did it on a lt4 zl1....
Stock 1.7 blower at 14 to 15 psi 683/669
2650 15-16 psi 815/790
Gain of 132 rwhp and 121 torque
Looks like the 2650 gains nice on hp.. and unlike the 2300 the torque goes up a good amount also.

im looking forward to numbers of the 2650 magnacharger done same way.

iirc 18psi will be max blower can be spun so prob another 50rwhp snd your maxed out.

Wow, for being at the same boost levels that's some serious power difference. Not really "fair" to the 1700 since that's not it's intended operating window, but still (all I mean is that its poor performance at those super high RPMs doesn't mean it's a bad blower for the stock application).

Can we look forward to graphs? Did they log temps? That's where the big difference will be found, I imagine.

Any additional venting needing to be done with that much boost? Crankcase running neutral pressure after the upgrade?

Nice to see the 1.7 vs 2650 on a lt4 this needs a lot more info and a dyno sheet. We know the 1.7 runs out of breath easy and early in the RPM band.

1.7 falls out here before 6300

The 2300 brings the TQ band up a lot (plus 51 average rear wheel tq) (almost 100 rwhp) on this set up (apples to apples) actually more the 1.7 high was a little blip up and was really less. The 2300 carries its high very high for over most of the whole curve. The 2300 Heartbeat stands ups
the 1.7 well not so much. No wonder the meth bandaid's are needed. The difference is huge when you drive them.

The tq curve shows the story much longer and higher as well look at NIC'ds Flemings and others plus it fits nicely under the hood . The problem is the 2650 will need a hood and a ton of fuel mods etc to reach that power level your showing, is not out yet and the 5k number sounds off as well.
Plus not on a Corvette and no idea what other mods or fuel is used hard really to compare anything since nothing is apples to apples.
The HP show is cool though!

in a good case the 2650 should be able to do almost 1100 rwhp with good compression, heads, etc. we have a ctsv that made a legit 940 rwhp on a heartbeat and the track times back it up too. without even trying hard we have 2.3's making mid 800 rwhp.

will be nice to see if edelbrock actually made a nice blower and not the old man char show blower most shops refer to them as that are piles of crap heat pumps.

Cannot be the same boost levels at all the 2650 puts out a lot more boost.
Then the 1.7 had to pullied to 18 percent or more that wasn't changed!

I agree some dyno sheets and more info would help showing boost etc.

Can these be over spun at all? Typically edelbrocks dont like this very much...
I see 1100whp off the heartbeat, any other manufacturers getting this rotorpack?

Car was on meth. I have a whipple 2.9 doing a 416 build on my 16 escalade. New whipples have a newer design rotor pack they released few months ago. Im shooting for 850 rwhp at 12psi. Should be a fun build.

have not seen the 2650 over spun... they just are hitting the market so numbers are starting to come in.

Nice numbers. What fuel system mods were done on this? I didn't see any on the posts.

Good ol' supercharger wars. Put a 125 hp shot of nitrous on that 1.7l with a stand alone fuel cell and report back how it does in a real race....

815 rwhp on the stock fuel system and meth. Monster nozzles ftw.
