Default 1966 knock off wheels

I have a complete set of knock off wheels that came with my 1966 coupe when I purchased it 35 years ago.I removed the rims and stored them. I would like to sell them and need to know how to determine if they are original and there value. Also is there a difference between 1965 and 1966 rims.

Pictures would help a lot. Do they have and casting manufactures mark on them

Like Nowhere Man sez ... you need to show pictures of both sides of the wheels, spinners and adapters.

The only difference between 65 & 66 k/o's is the cone ... 66 is the only year with brushed SS cones. The earlier years are chrome-like. Bill

Here's original, from set of 5 I have off of '66 VIN 13162. Note casting symbols/numbers off back of ears on the spinners. On the wheel, the K-H is for Kelsey Hayes; the B is shift, the 1 (space) 3 (space), 66 is the date (Jan 3rd 1966).

Yup, those are the real McCoys indeed. Can you post pics of the outside of each so we can see if any road rash/curb damage to the perimeters? How much are you asking for them? They would work perfectly on my 66 L72 VIN 13818 built a few days after yours! Cheers, Bill

I don't think that's the OP's wheels pictured.

Doh ... you are correct. I thought it was the OP showing us his wheels. Well at least he knows what real K-H K/Os look like on the backside.

I probably should have posted my reply to the last message in the thread.

Here's a photo of the original owner, in Noranda, Quebec, Canada. So my KO's are the ones shown. He was owner of the auto shop. He ordered a fully loaded '66 with every option, incl 36 gal tank, but except A/C (too cold up north). Apparently a more recent owner wrote an article with photos (before restoration) and the article appeared in a J&B catalog (or an Auto Trader).
