Default Any young C7 owners?!

I am 24 years old, and just bought my first corvette a beautiful arctic white A8 Z51 2LT. I love it!! I am an engineer for a company that makes automotive ventilation and induction plastics.
Just curious as to how many relatively young c7 owners there are on here, I'd say 20s - low 30s?? I am also from middle Tennessee if any of you guys are near and do cars and coffee?

On another note I, from time to time, get dirty looks from people once they see who is driving LOL! Any other of you young c7 owners get that?

I'm only 70 and I don't consider that old anymore. I do a lot of driver schools and instruct occasionally. You are only as old as you feel or act.

Factory ordered mine at 28 =)

The dirty look thing... I feel like my friends with exotics get that a lot more. Even from me in a way, because they will never come to the race tracks with me.

Enjoy the car. They are awesome.

I can see you are new here. Welcome!

This topic comes up every month or so with a young member thinking he is unique in this regard, and usually devolves into plenty of stereotyping and name-calling on BOTH sides of the age range. ("OLD PEOPLE NEVER DRIVE THEIR C7 FAST AND WEAR GOLD CHAINS!" vs. "YOUNG PUNKS/MILLENIALS DRIVING A CAR WITH DADDY'S MONEY!") Ad nauseam.

Hope you will explore other topics here on the Forum, as there is a TON of invaluable technical knowledge by the members here, and a LOT of people always willing to help! It's just the *social* and age-related topics that invariably devolve into a usless s***-storm thread that often just ends up being locked.

There is nothing unique about it when you have teenagers out there driving cars that cost 2-5x more than a corvette haha, my goal was to see if there was any people of a younger age group around the TN area because the last show I went to (last weekend) I was the youngest owner there by about 25 years minimum and just got dirty looks.

Any of you corvette owners go to the Fayetteville TN area? Every so ofter, before I was an owner I would see a train of c7s roll into town and have a meet.

I'm 35, and I just bought my first Vette last November. I bought my first performance car at 19....but it took a while to get into the Corvette. Its a good thing I didn't have one when I was in my twenties. I would be dead.

Ignore the dirty looks. Enjoy your car. As my late mother told me - Life is not a dress rehersal. Enjoy it while you can....

So from that I can tell the Corvette is a very dependable car, daily driver I assume?

Been driving Corvettes as daily drivers for 29 years - 700,000 miles. They seldom break. I've spent very little money on my cars over the years - mostly oil and filter changes....

27, Phoenix area

Got it before I start a family. It’ll go once the kids come, but I’m sure I’ll have another later.
