2019 yellow dots in paint
I was debating if I should post this or not but a couple forum members told me I should. I have these yellow dots etched in the paint that wont buff out. It almost looks like rust? I know that my car was painted at the new factory and maybe its not 100%, yet. Does anyone else have this issue? How should I proceed? I bought this car from kerbeck brand new. Its one of those things whenever I think about it or see it, it bugs me. The area affected the most is where the center tail light is. There are dots from the front bumper, side fender to the trunk and center tail light.

Get yourself a bottle of IronX made by CarPro.
The car was likely shipped by railroad and that’s what you have embedded in your paint.

I would have a dealer look at it.

Yes
Sounds about right small metal partials that landed on paint and then rusted caused this. I've seen this with some car up fitters that drill holes in vehicles to install emergency lights and not blow off the small metal shavings and then they sit on paint that causes rust spots and some times its hard to remove. Try IronX, good luck.

If your scared to use a chemical product you use a mechanical product like Clay bar to remove it but will take more effort.
I own a Detail shop in St.Louis. You’re welcome to PM me with any questions.

2019? straight to the dealer for warranty fix. leave the chemical bleaches/grinding to the body shop folks who will replace/repaint if the attempted fix goes **** up.

Use the iron x as previously recommended. That’s it. I’m a professional detailer, It won’t damage the paint and it will remove those spots.
Wash the car in the shade, make sure the surface is cool, spray the iron x on the car, let it soak for 5 minutes; then rinse and wash the car one more time.
Don’t take it to the dealer, they dont have any idea how to properly remove those spots, dealers are not professional car detailers.

Those spots look just like what is on my daily driver, except in much smaller quantity. Rust spots, which in my case come from the LIRR that runs above where I park my car in the lot to take the train to work, come off pretty easy with clay. I clay them off the car every six months and then rewax - I learned a long time ago, that parking near the train requires a dark colored car.

That sure looks like railway dust contamination. A clay bar would be my first choice.

Don't Corvettes that leave the factory, covered in a protective wrap? How would railway debris get through? Do they even get transported by rail (I don't think so).

They are covered in transport but some particles can get under, they're not skin tight.

We also have photos of brand new Corvettes in transit on trucks with the white sheet missing. They can come loose and many times the truck driver will remove the sheet so the sheet is not whipping in the wind at 70 MPH that can do damage to the paint.
If a new Corvette is delivered to the railhead and is missing it's sheet, they are not going to hold it back so GM can send them a new covering. It gets loaded on the railcar in order to meet it's scheduled trip by rail.
