Installed an AFE with dry filter on my z51 and all I can say is great mod. Instantly heard a sound differents especially on WOT. Felt a slight increase in power aswell. Add a Borla catless x pipe, great combo

Yes sir. Nice bang for the buck mod.

No modifications needed. Reported better fitment than some other brand intakes.

It comes with a dry or oiled filter. Which filter is better?

The Oiled Filter flows about 5% better
but
They both give more air than the car can use, so there is no performance drop between them

Just personal preference...

The dry filter has a higher filtering efficiency and is easier to clean. The oiled filter flows more air, but it's not needed on the LT1 (it does yield more power on the LT4 though). Dyno testing has shown no power difference between the dry vs. oiled filters on the LT1.
