Magnetic Ride Update review
Well I bit the bullet and had the upgrade done because of what i have read on this forum. I just got back from a hundred mile trip home, so I could tell if there is any change. Let me tell you it was like driving a new vehicle. For the first time I could leave it in sport mode on I90 in MA. The biggest difference was that I could drive on the interstate in sport mode without rattling my teeth out. All the bumps and cracks in the road have smoothed out and the steering has some real feel of the road. In tour mode it was smoother than my CTS. This upgrade has to be better for the vehicle not to be beat on from every bump in the road. I have paid for many improvements over the years for all of my vettes in the past but this was, by far, the best improvement .For those of you that haven't felt any difference take it back to the dealer because something didn't take. This is not a placebo effect, there is a big difference. My cost was $350.00.

I have a appointment for later this week to get my upgrade done. I'm glad to read what you wrote about sport mode I drive in sport 90% of the time. I was told cost to be 350.00 also. There is a lot of talk about this on forum but I went to two cruise nights and a Corvette Show last week and asked 6 different C7 owners about this and neither one had any idea what I was talking about. I was surprised more owners were not aware of upgrade. Thanks for posting results. Dave

I agree with your review. I used to drive 90% in sport mode, but after the upgrade, tour is much more solid to the road and comfortable. The wife can notice the improvement.
I do think sport mode is softer over highway seams, bumps, etc, however, which is a slight degradation in feel.
Overall, definitely worth the $350+tax.

^^^ No parts are installed, it's a software update.

I'm curious as a new to me 15 Z51 owner what exactly is the upgrade software and is it for manual transmissions as well as automatics. I haven't heard of any of this and I'm wondering if I should have this done also. Thanks guys hope I don't sound to stupid.

It is a software upgrade that you have installed at dealer and it changes some items in sport , tour, track. Do a search of MAGNETIC RIDE UPGRADE and there is a lot of info . Reading all the post can get confusing . Congrats on your 15 Z51.

If the service reps didn’t always seem to be so confused about everything we wouldnt need to double check everything they do. Although I probably would anyway.

You are correct on confusing . There is a post in another thread on this subject were this owner of a 17 GS had 84421869 installed no difference . Took back dealer installed 84375894 and posted a big difference. I already have appt. for later in week and will be calling dealer Monday just to see what they have to say. Will be taking car to dealer that 1 1/2 hours away but they sell a lot of corvettes and have a very good service dept. In the mean time I will be checking threads/posts to see what other 17 GS owners chose to go with.

I can't give a true "before/after", but I will say that my 2019 Z06 (in touring and sport) rides better than my 2017 Z51 Stingray.

Had my FE2 MSRC upgraded a week ago.
Ride is definitely more cushy for me in all modes.
