Interior heat
I知 sure this is an old issue but i知 new here so I would like some opinions. I currently have a c3 with the t-tops. When we take it out on hot summer days it gets really hot inside. Now I知 looking at getting a c7 and was wondering if I知 going to still be having heat issues or have the newer vettes gotten better. Thanks to all.

Not a lot of insulation and no problem keeping cool when 100F! However i did not have an issue with my '88, '93, 2008 and 2014 C7!

The new Vettes are better, but to really control heat (even on your 63) take a look at 3M Crystalline or Spectra Photosync window tint.

I have not heard of many complaints regarding C7 interior heat. If you elect the transparent top, then the interior will obviously get a little warmer than the CF version(s). I’d say that the AC, improvements in laminated glass, and ventilated seats, if equipped, should help.

They still get hot with transparent top.

With top off on a hot Summer day the interior is also going to be hot. Not aware of any significant improvements in the C7 that would keep it cooler than previous years.

My car with a clear top gets hot !!, no ands , ifs or buts about it ... its hot when you first get in .
Now the air-conditioning in a C7 kicks butt and will soon turn the interior into a meat locker but ......
I bought this inside shade , its awesome , fits great and the underside looks just like the factory headliner , this will stay in till winter time

The tunnel down the middle will get a bit warm on a longer drive on 90 plus days. Other than that its not too bad. I don't have the clear top tho.

I agree with you as the early C3s can get very warm inside, especially the big blocks.
My C7 GS vert is very cool even on very warm days.

Interior heat isn稚 really a problem for me in my c7 with transparent top except on the hottest days (mid 90痴) and even then it just takes a few more minutes for the interior to cool down. I wouldn稚 recommend the vented seats though. They do work, but they push such a small amount of cool air through that I would say they definitely aren稚 worth the extra expense.

I don't take my top off frequently and never in the summer! Spring is not good, excess pine pollen! We have many days in the winter when it's 65 F-good time to take the top off!
Glad I no longer live in NE Ohio or CT!

The biggest issue between a C3 and C7 being kept cool with AC is the volume of air moving through the air ducts and the fan velocity. The fan on a C7 acts and sounds like a hurricane and cools the cabin very quickly. Having owned a 76 and 78, the C7 AC puts them all to shame. Not sure why an improved high velocity fan cannot be installed in early models Vettes to correct that problem.
Yes the tunnel, inside the center console and the outer trim in the front will get very warm.
Go for it, you値l love the C7.

I have a transparent top here in AZ and have no issues keeping the cabin cool. As good as any A/C I have had in a car. I bought one of those suction cup inner sunshades for the top to keep the sun off my balding head. You can feel a little warmth from the sun coming in on top of your head but not much. But don't use the suction cup top much anymore. A ventilated baseball cap works just as good. Or just moving the visor out by extending it works. I just set the AC for 72 degrees on automatic and stay cool as can be. My wife is sensitive to heat and she thinks the AC in the the C7 is terrific!

interior heat
Thanks everyone for your input. I am probably going to get the 2014 vert. I was concerned since I saw some posts about people tearing apart their insides and installing different versions of liners. I did that in the c3 and was a little worried that I would have to do the same in a (new to me) corvette.
