Build Sheet in the C5
Hello All,
Did GM hide a copy of the build sheet within the corvettes? I was just curious since my used 2000 coupe is used and wasn’t provided. I know I can get replicates from the museum. If this has been talked about, I do apologize. The search didn’t really narrow down my searches.

If it is still in your car, the factory C5 build sheets should be inside the front frame rail cross member. To get to it you have to pull the front fascia in order to have access to the open end of the cross member. Believe it will be on the driver’s side. Some people find them and some don't. Also some find them in very good condition; others find them "beat up" from years of exposure to water and not very legible. Not that much info, but cool to say you have it.
The sticker in the glove compartment of the car will tell you all the options the car was build with if that's what you are really wanting.
You can also order a bright, shiny, new copy of your build sheet from the National Corvette Museum. Cost is about $40-$50 with a discount if you are a member of the NCM.

It’s on the drivers side front. Simply remove the front bumper and the styrofoam. It would take maybe an hour and it's rolled up and in great shape aside from a layer of dust.
Here's mine. You can see the piece of masking tape the factory used to stick it to the car as it went down the line. My car was further disassembled in this picture because I was doing a major project. I put the build sheet in a ziplock bag along with my contact information (so a future owner could contact me) and put it back in place.

Thank you everyone! I thought it was in the front area but wasn’t sure! I’ll have to search on how to remove the front bumper as I have lost my pdf copy. Take care everyone!

Well looking back I’d say you can definitely reach the build sheet in an hour, but taking your time going back together add another 2 hours max.
Complete job figure an entire lazy day with beer if totally taking your time as a fun project half drunk at the end. 🍺
One tip for those that haven’t done the job yet: the styrofoam under the bumper cover requires long needle nose pliers to reach in and pinch the center of the fastener. Not crazy long but if you look at your basic stubby needle pliers wondering, you probably have the wrong tool; you won’t be able to reach in far enough. Medium length needle as a minimum. Once that center is pulled outward (it stays attached) then get a bite on the outermost circumference and it will pull right out. Before you start use a flashlight and you will easily see the center/outer makeup of the plastic fastener. With those few fasteners pulled out, the styrofoam falls right off with a very minor tug.

Quick update...Build sheet recovered!
Fully unfolded now with the help of a hand held steamer. Still have some sticking areas were some of it didn’t come up but I’ll get those later
Just a quick update guys. Bumper is off and was a fairly quick job. Build sheet still in there.
Slowing getting it opened up with a hand held steamer.

Now I want to see mine. lol How many miles on your car? I'd assume our climates are similar, mine has alway been relatively close by since new.
