Default Adios to my C4

Sold my early '84 C4 this week and acquired a C5 but take heart! My old C4 with 44K miles that needed nothing sold within 24 hrs. In spite of the dire predictions of friends, the crossfire-ignition on that car never gave us any problems, whatsoever. If the C5 LS1 I bought with roughly the same mileage and overall condition serves as well as the C4, I'll be pleased. We're at the age where most of our contemporaries have switched to coffin-colored 4-door Buicks and to me, that would be a step above walking. Anyway, my wife could no longer get out of the C4 without assistance so the decision was forced upon me. She has no problem alighting from the C5.

Your wife is lucky, many of us would have kept the car and traded the wife !!!!

Try an 84 with a 5 point rollbar.

Say WHAT...no way. C6 seating position is way higher with slabs for seats, plus no sill at all. I think you just have fond memories, because that ain't real...lol. Even my C5Z is a harder to get in than our C6 because the C5 seating position is lower in the chassis, much like the C4 was. It's not easier...you're just older...lol.
