Default Pat G tuning, AHP and stingy mustang dyno.

First I would like to give a big shout out to Pat G from Victoria Texas along with Kurt and his awesome shop. Would also like to thank AHP, Kohle and Jake for using their cylinder heads and porting. Kohle set me up with the best cylinder heads for my needs. Kohle is a damn magician to the LS7, appreciate him answering all my questions.

I made 509rwhp and 475rwtq on a stingy mustang dyno and Pat G told me this was only the 2nd car there to make that much power for only bolt ons, no headers and no cam. I’ll never forget him looking at that power graph when he told me that. Can’t say enough good things about Pat G, yes this is the same man that specs cams across the world. The man is a wizard to the LS7 in regards to tuning. I told him every concern and he went straight to work on the laptop. Car runs amazing. Here are the mods.

AHP milled heads .020 with street porting. Btr duals & MS90 guides
LS7 radical ported manifold from peak speed shop
Gutted catalytic converters.
Varam intake.

That’s it.

thank you bro. Can’t wait to add the btr 2 and some headers. Would love a stand alone 75 shot also. Just very happy the car performed well and is extremely healthly. This forum helped me a ton so if I ever spoke with any of you members via pm or here open, I thank you for steering me in the right direction. I would’ve been very satisfied with 480~485 on a mustang dyno and that is the exact same number Pat G thought it would’ve made. Although 509 is ok too lol

No problem and you will be golden with that cam and headers. I would run a 1-125 shot, I would run a shot that would keep total power under 750 lol. This definitely is a great forum!

Thanks brother, now that Pat G confirmed its SAE corrected on a mustang dyno I’m still processing the power it put down lol. The car rips for the minor bolt ons. Again thanks for all the tips and talk my friend.

OP great results ! I am working with Pat G on an Autocal remote tune to improve upon my previous tune. I have already seen a 20 wtq/ 20 whp gain after the 1st re-tune on my 08 Z06 with H/C/I.
The car is noticeably improved. You got some very good results.

OP the radical ported manifold that u got, was that the basic port job or was it their 102 port job?

I'm looking to do their radical 102 manifold in the near future.

It’s been radically ported for sure because I called peak speed shop and verified. Although it has not been opened up to their 102 design. I’m still on my stock TB. I think if you go up to the 102 you need the larger TB. Not sure if I’m correct you might want to give them a ring

Patrick just tuned my 2012 Z06 with ported AHP heads and a custom TSP 116 cam on Kurt's dyno at 521 rwhp two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. I only did a minimal resurfacing of the heads because I wasn't sure how well it might have run if I ever took the car up to Oklahoma (Winstar) and was stuck with 91.

I've seen from Patrick's Facebook a V3 Cadillac CTS-V on that dyno do something like 512rwhp as a baseline, so your numbers for a stock cam are awfully good! Might have to consider a ported intake like yours in the future but I already can't keep enough traction even with thre ZR1 wheels and tires. I can't wait to get the car out again this weekend and drive it some more.

Thank you BigVette. When I saw your thread that’s when I decided to make the appointment. If it wasn’t for the information on this forum I wouldn’t have gone or built the car with the correct parts. I really thought the varam was going to hold me back. Oh okay I see you tuned for 91 because different state? I understand you. Yeah I did some research and the stock cats do hold you back and leave power on the table. Not so much with race cats.

Haha! I took a lot of honey comb and fiberglass out of them was really surprised how much it had. You won’t be disappointed one bit with Pat. His waiting list wasn’t that bad either maybe 2 weeks out. Thank you for the kind words as well
