LT4 - How it's made
Ran across this video on the manufacturing process of the LT4. Hope you find it as interesting as I did.

The video above is for the Z06, not the Z07, correct? The Z07 is handbuilt. Still, cool little video. I could watch stuff like that all day, especially at work.

What? A z07 is just a suspension, tire and aero package for a z06. There is no powertrain difference whatsoever.

^Again, that has nothing to do with the Z07 performance package.
All LT4s are currently hand built by a single technician in Bowling Green, it doesn't matter if it's for a Z06 or a Z06 with Z07 package.
However, when the Z06 first was being built, the Z06 sales were outpacing Bowling Green's Performance Build Center's capability, so some were being built in Tonowanda (as seen in this video) and then sent to Bowling Green for assembly - but there was no separation of engines built for Z06 with Z07 cars. Around May of 2016, the PBC in Bowling Green was building 100% of all Z06 engines.
(I believe that the ZL1 and CTS-V motors are still built in Tonowanda)

^Again, there was no separation between Z06 and Z06 with Z07 cars. Before the May 2016 (when the performance build center was able to produce 100% of the Z06 engines) there were plenty of non-Z07 Z06 cars with hand built engines and there were also plenty of Z07 equipped Z06 with engines from Tonowanda.
Further Z07 can also be used to describe Grand Sport cars, which don't have an LT4 at all.

Cool story, bro, but during my search for a Z06, we found plenty as I described. So unless some little gremlin is running around and stealing build plaques off Z07 equipped Z06s and putting them on non Z07 equipped Z06, there is evidence to the contrary.
And yes, there are Z07 equipped Grand Sports that do not have LT4 engines. Surprised you didn't know.

Joe, you’re the one who climbed up the GS pole...sorry you feel insulted—I could say the same about your condescending statement.
You don’t want to take my word for it...fine, plenty if other CF members have said same. 100s of responses on several threads all say the same thing.
Here is a sample search if you need more than what Hib provided above..but I guess he’s full of BS too.
