Default Michelin Piolt Sport 4S

Just returned from having these tires put on my 12 GS. Wow what a difference very very quiet. It rides like a different car. Had 6,000 on the GY super car tires couldn't take the noise. Next step 4 wheel alignment.

Put Continentals on my 06 was very happy with them. They didn't have the GS sizes so went with the newest Michelins. The ride quality and noise level are outstanding.

Just sharing my initial thoughts.

Yeah, the people still running the OEM Goodyears don't have any idea how much better their car will ride and how much quieter it will be. They also keep the rear end from stepping out and are one of the best upgrades that I have done to my car!

Now that you mention it, the rear end did occasionally step out on me with the GY's

I got the Michelin Pilot Sport S4 on my '10 GS a couple weeks ago and really like them too. Mine ARE run flats. I ran the PS 2's for the past 7 years and liked them also.

All brands of tires make a hell of a different when new....Reply back when you get 10000 miles on them.....

Well-known fact that runflats make more road noise then non-runflats.

As nearly as I can tell if you bought S4s, you did not get run flats. I could not find any information on Michelin's site or on Tire Rack that indicated that they are run flats. If you bought the A/S 3s, those are labeled as ZP (Zero Pressure) and are run flats.

Also just swapped the Goodyear runflats for a set of these PS4S Michelins on my 2010 GS. Drastic improvement in noise and I can second OP's first feelings, these tires feel more progressive and I don't get that hop/skip when going around a bumpy corner like the runflats did.

I autocrossed on these a few weeks back and was impressed. Good grip and very progressive once they were warm. 10/10 would buy again, only downside is they are pricey $$$$
