Need vacation ideas and how to protect the Vette?
I would like to schedule a road trip the GF and take my C7 2019 Vette. However, I am a bit concerned on a few items perhaps you can help me! I live in Maryland near Baltimore.
The 2 main questions are:
1. What is a fantastic vacation place to go drive with the Vette?
2. What type of precautions should I make so that the car can be parked in a safe location and nothing happens to my new Corvette?
Please advise! I sure can use my Corvette Forum brother's help on this one!

Take the Vette.
I've been daily driving Corvettes for 29 years and more than 700,000 miles - I've driven my Corvettes in 45 of the lower 48 states - and NEVER - EVER - had a problem. I drive my Vette - and my Ferrari - to restaurants, theaters, grocery stores, Home Depot, Walmart, the shooting range, etc... they're cars.
I assume your car is insured...
So drive the Corvette, enjoy it, and if something happens to it deal with it.... we are supposed to own our cars, not the cars own us.....

Drive to South Florida. Detour to vette museum and Tail of the Dragon. As for safety, well lit, higher end hotels, or .45 cal usually keeps you and your belongings safe.

I'm going to 2nd the other guy's suggestion but I'm serious. Leave it home. It's going to get beat up by the interstate construction and road debris. Rent something.

Its a depreciating Chevy. Drive and enjoy it. I drive my 14 vert everywhere, including trips, and have never had a problem with it parked at nice hotels and restaurants.

Read the thread with the member who took his wife In their 2019 gs vert on a 4500mi trip was epic. But...... the windshield broke. And that sucks... and then there's the cleaning off the bugs nightly lol.. his thread was eye opening.
in 2010 I bought a new Yukon Denali. The wife and my dream truck. Took it right to Florida. It got beat up. And with my OCD it was a miserable time. Not to mention the assclown whi scraped the rear bumper up to the point of needing a repaint 1200mi on it.
good and bad in everything I guess. I have my car xpel protected but I'm not sure if I have it in me lol. Would I be enjoying the car? Or worried about it getting beat up on road and parked with toolbags everywhere in places I DONT KNOW I SHOULD AVOID.

Stay at places that are reasonably upscale and either valet or park under a light, or where you can park just outside your motel window (nothing wrong with that--have done that many times).
NEVER leave anything visible inside the car; not a gps, not a RD, not a pair of sunglasses, no phone charging cords, not even a water bottle. Shut both the cig lighter and cup holder doors. Make it look like it's sitting on the showroom, and nothing is tempting anybody. Most thieves know they can't steal it, and if there is no reason to smash and grab, then why bother? They'll move to the Toyota three rows over in the dark with the laptop on the passenger seat.

Take the Vette, get Xpel put on it before the trip (if it already doesn't have it on the car), and stay at nice hotels. It was made to be driven - enjoy it and your vacation.

I second Mayor111’s recommendation about the Novastretch mask and Is3zob’s about the Tail of the Dragon. My wife and I drove there via Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The 45 mph speed limit does not make it exciting, but it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable drives we’ve experienced. We like to stay at B&Bs...fewer cars, more rural locations and some even offer a garage. Park away from others in well lit locations and enjoy the drive.

Never had a problem were ever I went, like others said drive and enjoy.
concerned about small paint chips get Xpel. Excellent installer in Ellicott City Md
1 Day trip/ St. Michells Md / Boat ride, restaurants, maritime museum and MEBA Memorial Park, Oxford Belview ferry.
3 Day trip/ Elkins W Va to Cass W Va nice50 mile driving road between towns plus Shay steam train ride up a logging mountain.
7 Day trip/ Bowling Green Ky. Corvette Museum of course,
Nashville Tn. Country Music hall of fame, Grand ole Opera, Loveless Cafe, Jack Daniels distillery
just a few ideas, I'm sure members will chime in, your interests sometime will help you decide.
maybe take pictures of your adventures were ever you go and share it with us, I , we might go there.

It's not a vintage baseball card. Someone isn't going to come along in 50 years and find this never driven pristine vehicle hidden in your barn and pay you millions for it. It's a car, it should be driven. Just use some common sense along the way. I have taken all of my Vettes from Texas and Oklahoma to Las Vegas many times. my new Vette will be making that drive in November. I park away from other vehicles to avoid dings and I don't valet it. As far as fun places, I do enjoy the dessert highways of Nevada. I also really enjoyed driving through the Branson Missouri area...windy and hilly roads.

Wife and I did an epic 5600 mile trip in 15 days. Took the aforementioned suggestions in other's posts. Never had a problem. You bought the car to drive, didn't you? Don't worry about your car, just make the smart choices to put the odds in your favor. Enjoy the journey.

First, if you haven't done it yet, get PPF on the front bumber cover, 1/2hood, mirrors, rockers, and at least behind the rear wheels.
Call your insurance agent, and lower your deductable.
Go drive your car. It's a car not the Mona Lisa. Do't worry about it. Take a drive out to Thurmont and Camp David area. Stop at Catoctin Mountain Orchard and have some pie.
