Dash/gauge setup...that escalated quickly
Ever have ideas on your head for something simple...and it grows...and grows!
this was a project that alotttt of time was meaningless for the goal of the car. Cleanliness, wire routing, relays, fuse setup etc
i acquired a c5 with a accusump, diff cooler, trans cooler setup in the bottom compartment that was broken and flopping around. Well after plotting some ideas this is the end result.
Before
So layout of gauges:
spa technique oil pressure/oil temperature with buzzer and two leds wired for low oil pressure.
Middle switches are accusump, diff cooler and trans cooler
battery kill on right.
Bottom panel:
volt gauge due to me running a small battery. It’s on a switch so I can turn it off while on track. But with the small battery and battery maintenance crucial I decided to add this which is more accurate than the dash.
Switches to the right are for the volt meter and a blank switch for a cool suit in future.
Last two are 12v and usb for misc items. Go pro,aim solo etc.
all lll this is wired into a fused panel and an 80amp relay

Looks great! I did one a few years ago for my car. The USB and 12 Volt sockets are great. I use those elsewhere on the car for various things. For instance, the video power switch on the dash controls power to one of those USB modules. The USB module is connected to video cameras which turn on and start recording once they receive power. That way, from the dash and with a single switch, I can start my video cameras.

Nice work, both of you.
I share a Mustang race car with a couple friends, and we use one of these to power our Aim Solo:

...but I cut out the connector and fuse, and wired it directly to an output from a fuse panel that's bolted to the dash. Our switch panel is way overdue for a rebuild though... our car's previous owner drilled holes in semi-random places, and we've just been carrying on that tradition. The photos above are inspiring!
