It doesn’t on a 63 and I bet the 64 is the same. About 14”-15” sticks up.

If you go this route, be careful. All the power antennas being sold by the big boys didn't fit my 64. Frame got in the way to prevent the staff going straight up, no matter how you tried to twist or position the unit. Finally found a smaller unit which has a 3 piece staff vs the typical 2 piece one. works fine.

These antennas were made before antennae breaking became a fad.. I bougth an aftermarket fully retractable manual antenna for my '61 in the late 1970s.
