Powerstop Brake Pad Questions

Powerstop Brake Pad Questions
Hi All -
I have a 2017 Z06. The brake dust produced from the factory pads is unbearable, so I ordered Powerstop pads to replace and hopefully resolve the factory pad dust issue.
My questions for the group are:
1. The Powerstops came with new clips and pins, should I use what they provided or reuse the factory hardware? My car only has 600mi on it.
2. Do I need to break -in the new pads, or just install and drive normally?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Dino

I'm by no means an expert. I also own a 2017 Z06. I switched to these and am very happy I did. I however had closer to 1700 miles on mine when I switched. The following is what I did.
After removing the stock pads, I took some fine sand paper and lightly scuffed up my rotors. I did use the stock hardware with the new pads along with using the supplied lube and put the new hardware in the box along with the stock pads. I will probably just end up throwing them away. I did follow the break-in steps. I didn't have and currently don't have any issues after installation.
Hope this helps.

Go ahead and use the new hard wear. Are you going to track your car? AutoX? Road course? Need more info to help you best.

OK I wouldn't go through the burnishing process if all you are going to do is street driving. Just do a few med to lower speed slow downs then let them cool before you park it. You will love the Powerstop pads, they are great and a very good value.
