Now I am confused. My 73 has a removable back glass and am curious if it stock. The trim in the back does not fit, it seems the piece that goes across where the latches is short.

Over the years lots of people have changed them over, especially the 73 (and 74) which still had all the mounting tabs etc installed under the "new" trim pieces. If they robbed all the proper trim parts from a removable winder car (68 could be remarkable different so who knows) they should fit as well as the "proper" ones did.

Sometimes you can tell by the window storage tray what year the donor car may have been

My 77 still had the mounting points under the trim , the 68-72 pieces sold by the aftermarket shops all fit exactly.

I thought it was 73 but thats just from observing them at car shows.....so if the other guys say 72 was the last year i wont doubt them...it was easy to put in my 77 and made a nice change....you dont feel any air flow difference but you have the auditory delights of nothing behind you
