Default The ARH Difference!

Guys,

We've seen some discussion about why one should choose one brand of headers over the other. I want everyone to know that I'd be happy to discuss that with you personally, by phone, at your convenience. I will say this, if all you care about is price, ARH is not for you. We're competing with many well know manufacturers and, unfortunately, so called manufacturers that are knocking off other brands (including ours), that outsource from China, the caves of Mongolia and God knows where else.

The often discussed difference in cost between ARH and other brands is justified if you knew exactly how we manufacture our systems compared to others. After 13 years as manufacturers, there's one thing we haven't changed, we don't outsource. No outsourcing means better quality 100% of the time. It's that simple but it comes at a higher price. And with a lifetime guarantee, combined with parts shipping all over the world, we will never alter our way of manufacturing. Degrading the quality of our materials for a better profit margin just doesn't work for ARH. It's safe to say that as popular as our Corvette systems are, many here are fully aware the difference an ARH system makes but there's even more to the story.

If you need to get into it in more detail, please feel free to call me directly at 631-608-1986 or email me a contact number at nick@americanracingheaders.com and I'll gladly reach you. Though we've grown exponentially and with a few minor bumps along the way, we haven't turned our backs to what got us here. Outstanding quality and performance second to none is here to stay at ARH. I look forward to speaking with you.

Thank you. Nick

I’ll say this :
I have never seen a warped header flange on an ARH header
The primaries are longer on ARH than the Kooks
The primary pipe thickness on the ARH is enough that they don’t sound like tin cans
I have never had a fitment issue with ARH, but I have with other vendors headers here

I install several sets every year, and ARH 1-7/8 catless on my car now that I bought used without any worries whatsoever.
I flat OUT REFUSE to install an eBay header on anything but a golf cart. You either know this lesson well or you WILL learn it.

No problem, it’s a pleasure when the product has the quality yours does.

I concur. I bought my set of ARH long tubes when another vendor was selling them after developing their own and trying to make the same power. Oh well, their loss was my gain.. soon to be a world record holder here once I get it put back together..

I'm very happy with my ARH Mid-Length Headers on my C7 Z51. Great fit, great quality, and I've had zero issues. I used new GM OEM manifold gaskets rather than the gaskets that came from ARH though.

It's one thing to make a truly great product

It's another thing to stand behind your product

There is no better at both than American Racing Headers

I bought a set of ARH mids, with high flo cats. Install was clean and easy. Only issue is after awhile, I started getting rear o2 sensor CEL's. I contacted ARH and they said they would sell me another set of CATs but would not replace the ones I had, even though my system was purchased new and installed only on my car..... wound up having to have the car tuned to turn off the back o2's. I really hope I don't have a warranty issue as that is now shot!

I have your long tubes and the fit and finish are amazing.

Do you guys recommend ceramic spark plug wires ? I have one that is very slightly touching one of the collectors. Recommendations?

Hey there,

The ceramic plug wires definitely wouldn't help, but usually the most we see is a good quality plug wire cover near the header tubes.

This is the problem I had too, the socks would not fit. Why wouldn't ceramic wires work? Dont they withstand something like 2000 degrees?

I don't recall a specific brand, but I did remember that these are available as well.

I'm not sure if anyone can chime in that has used them.

Yeah, I dont think those will fit. On mine, the wire isnt touching but part of the boot a little. I think on ceramic wires they have two temp ratings, 1 for the boot (2000F) and the wire itself (600f)

ARH 2" headers w/ ARH 3" catted x-pipe here on my 2017 Grand Sport A8. They fit perfect when installed, have performed flawlessly since installed, and have helped me hit over 500rwhp sae NA with stock cam on my car. Very happy customer!

I have used this exhaust hack in the past to correct O2 sensor CELs. No tune or disabled sensors needed.
