1963 horn configuration
I have a 5th edition 1963-64 NCRS judging manual on page 130 showing '63 horns bellow opening pointing down and a '64 with bellow opening on a 45 degree angle. Just putchased from Corvette Central a pair of OER exact reproduction '63 horns that are positioned at 45 degree, are those correct? If so, my next message will be directed to NCRS unless they are aware of mistake. Thanks, begee22

And also how mine are -- and were during regional judging...

1963 horns---#456 is on the passenger side and #455 is on the drivers side. The sound from both goes towards the center of the car where the high note and low note sound blends together! The AIM has a DRAWING that is drawn wrong.......

Thank you Andy. After further research I now know illustration is not correct. I sent NCRS a message regarding this particular edition and have not received a reply back. I would tend to believe they already know. begee22

Andy has given you the correct answer - my 63 is sporting a set of correctly numbered and date coded horns he produced for me..... The AIM can be confusing....I've even seen horns with the trumpet openings facing up - a perfect catch basin for water, pine straw, etc....
