Afe Cold Air Intake 2017 Z06
I just installed an AFE intake in my 2017 Z06 and after driving it for 15 minutes I decided to give it full throttle and test it out. The response felt nice when I floored it but after a quick second the engine low power light came on and went to limp mode. Anyone have a similar situation? Did I need to drive the car longer to let the computer adjust??

Also check that screws are tight and that you have no air leak around the new installation. If still have that issue, you may want to try the 'paper' filter in place of the more permissive blue filter.

Only reason I replaced the Halltech was I got a good deal on AFE and like the looks of it better.

I just installed an AFE (Blue Filter) on a 16 M7, I removed a Halltech. Other mods are Katech TB, and Borla X-pipe, no codes. Just took it out for a spirited run on some country roads. Hit 141 and no codes, all with the OEM tune.

I had the same outcome initially. After installing the AFE CAI. the check engine reduced power indicator came on also. After driving about 15 minutes the check engine light went away and have had no problems since. You can also disconnect the battery and reconnect to reset... Good Luck

My AFE CAI came with both filters. I first tried the blue 'high flow' filter (stock tune) but went faster with the dry 'low flow' filter at the strip. No cel with either but the grey filter was faster.

No difference between the two filters OR no difference between the stock intake and the AFE??

High Flow vs. Low Flow filter results on the AFE CAI for me.
To go into this 'High Flow' wet blue filter vs. 'Low Flow' dry grey filter results on 'my' stock tune car issue further.
The reason I bought the AFE CAI in the first place and not the other brand was I saw a red C7/Z06 A8 like my Stage 1 shark grey car at the track the same day I had mine there at Cecil dragway and I was impressed. This heavy guy like myself (approx. 260 lbs.) on stock tires was putting down 1.60 60 ft. times using the 'launch control' and running a 10.50 ET at a 130 plus mph!
So I cruised over to have a look & chat with this racer who I had seen and talked with the year before when neither of us owned a C7. His only addition was the aftermarket CAI. I was not running as fast as he was in either et or mph and I had the Lingenfilter "GREEN" replacement filter in the stock air box that day which was faster then the stock filter. Sooo I bought the AFE which at the time came with both filters.
RESULTS:
I really did not take notice what filter he was running so when I got the intake I installed the 'high flow' filter (who wouldn't?). Well I went to the track and proceeded to slow down approx. 1 mph over what I was running using the green filter, so I was going to remove the CAI but got to thinking and remembered he was running the 'low flow' gray filter. I then changed out the blue for the gray filter and picked up approx. 1 mph over the stock setup running the green filter at the time. My thinking on this filter issue is that the grey filter matches up better with the stock tune C7/Z06.
I believe this is a AFE CAI slip running the stock MPSS tires & rims on the stock tune (note date):

I had the same issue yesterday after I had installed the AFE on my ZO6 , the engine and the power reduced light came on, but after driving the car for about 20 min or so turned it off and started it back up all lights and every thing was back to normal...these cars are smart. after if it found out that it was receiving more air it compensated for it...very strange but I am glad of that.

When I first installed my AFE intake I drove it around for awhile before getting on the gas (meaning not full throttle right off the bat) and never got a light.
