Default A Good Database of Info On Wheels?

Hi everyone, I hope I'm posting in the right forum. Like many on here, I'm looking into putting new wheels on my 2004. I love the look of the stock chrome thin spoke wheels, but they don't fill out the wheelwells the way I'd like, so I'd like to go a little bit taller and wider.

my problem is that there seems to be a LOT more bad wheels out there than good ones, so I'd like to get a little better informed on the things that differentiate a good wheel from a bad one.

Can anyone point me to a good source of info on this? Thanks in advance.

Default wheels

The question to ask are they (wheels) OEM or knock-offs. OEM wheels have the GM part-number stamped on the inside of the wheel. I called Midwest-Wheels and asked if they had OEM wheels and they did, I bought.

Your best bet is to speak with a number of forum wheel vendors. Check out the brands and styles they offer, than talk to them about the size and width you’d like to have, keeping in mind your requirement to fill out the wheel well a bit more. Another option on the height is to lower the suspension on the stock bolts.

All depends how much $$$ you want to spend. ‘Better’ wheels AKA custom built will get you there. I run HRE. 19/20.

As Jetz mentioned above it all depends on the level of quality you want vs what you're willing to spend for it. Feel free to PM or email me and I can guide you further - David@WheelsBoutique.com
