Oil Change Before or After Winter Storage?

Oil Change Before or After Winter Storage?
I bought my 2015 last fall and it was given a fresh oil change at that time before I took possession. Although I've only put about 2500 miles on the car, my oil life meter is going to hit that 1yr time period and direct me to change my oil probably in late September. I'm going to put the car up for the winter in very early November. So am I better off changing the oil this fall and having it sit over the winter? Or should I drive the an extra month on the 1yr+ old oil (that still has low miles on it) and change the oil first thing in the spring so I have newer oil for actually driving the car? Not sure which way to go.
Also, I have a dry sump oil system and I've read a lot about people who have had their oil changed incorrectly in those types of engines. I'm thinking the best bet is to use a dealership,or even a dedicated Corvette shop for the service instead of the local repair shop I normally use. What questions do I need to ask and what do I need to look out for before I choose a place for service and once I get the car back to ensure that it's done properly?

Change it in the fall before storage.

You will get answers to change it before storage, others will say to change it after. Bottom line I have done both and it really makes no difference at all. So change it when it is more convenient for you.

Don't assume a Chevy dealer knows or cares how to properly change oil in a dry sump car. I went to an "experienced" one, Gwatney, for my 500 mile and they screwed it up then refused to correct it when I showed them the dipstick before leaving the service area.

I think the real answer lies in how many miles are on the oil and how old it the oil since last change ... if its gently used like most vettes and gets its oil changed way before it's ever due ... it does not matter if its before or after , or you can even question do I need to do it at all
if it's a DD just getting put away for the winter or it has a good amount of miles on the oil then I would do it before its put away ... and if you start it while in storage , make sure you run it long enough to bring the oil up to temperature to keep the condensation at bay ....

You don't want to store it with dirty oil, get a oil change before storage, everything is clean!
