Looking at C7
Hi I have a 2012 Camaro SS and I was looking at c6's first. Specifically the grand sport (like the removable top)
How would you say a c7 base compares to the c6 grand sport? Also I really like the looks of the c7 wide body with the grand sport and z06. Do people put the wide body kits on the c7 base?

If you’re thinking about a widebody C7, then go with the GS. Parts and labor to convert a Stingray wouldn’t be much less... all things considered, i.e., MY, mileage, condition, etc. Nonetheless, there are a few, actually I’ve since one on here but there might be more, that installed an ACS widebody kit on a C7 Stingray.
If you’re considering a C6 GS or a C7 Stingray, then It’s the C7. The C7 is better than the C6 in almost every facet. Not hate’n the C6, just say’n. GL.

The technological advances between C6 and C7 are night and day. Get a C7!

[QUOTE=stt816;1597647000]Even if it's the base c7?
I don't want to go over 40k[/QUOTE
If you want more goodies than a new base C7 you might consider a low mileage used C7. There are a lot of good deals out there. I had a C6 Z51 that I liked a lot but yes, I would get a base C7 versus a C6. The difference between the two is huge.

Notwithstanding funding, or even being able to afford a C7 - there's no reason to try to compare any C6, with a C7. Don't waste your time doing it.
The C7 is literally light-years ahead of the C6. Buy one, and you'll understand why, the first time you drive it.

Melting Slicks
In 2014 at Ron Fellows Corvette school the instructors showed that on the track the C7 Z51 could stay with if not beat the C6 Z06. The C7 had a real advantage in the corners, and the C6 Z06 power enable it to catch back up on the back straight.
Handling is way better in the C7.

I saw a c7 z06 in person and it looked great...What are the main differences in only appearance between the stingray and the z06? I know the wide body kit. Anything else?
