Shocks Again
Looking to upgrade stock C5 shocks on my 2000 MY Vette. Done some reading and the best bang for the buck seems to be the C6 ZO6 shocks. Where and who has the best price and is it a good upgrade or not.

Yes, the C6 Z06 shocks are a very good choice.
The vendor referenced in the above thread is Cultrag Performance.

and did you do C6 Z51 front and back, with C6 Z06 shocks?
I'm assuming you went with something like the kit from cultrag as well, was there any issues or anything to be aware of, or does everything bolt right up and then you let it ride?
I'm just not getting into reading about this swap and picking for information. I'm notorious for doing suspension upgrades and overhauls on my cars before anything else
Thanks ahead of time,

just shocks? what about the sway bars? too
seems like the OEM tops choices are 04 z06, c6 z51 or c6 z06
I have the 04 z06 shocks and sway bars and it definitely firms things up, adding the z06 sway bars actually calms them down by instantly sharing the movement to both sides almost like a dampener...one guys who swaps lots of parts for funs thinks the sweet spot is 06 z51 shocks and the c5 z06 sway bars, for a really smooth firm ride.
I also swap the z06 wheels with my 5 spokes every several months so clean keep them all shiny

When you say noticeable ride difference, is this in reference to ride quality, performance, or both?

Everything is bolt on but like all things, it snowballs. While you are at it, you should replace and upgrade to the metal end links, all 4. Make sure you torque everything down when suspension is loaded.
Grease your sway bushings with a good quality grease ( I used synthetic clear grease)

I've put them on two of my C5s - - one set came off a 30k mile car that a friend upgraded to Bilstein's and the other set came from a forum vendor- better than leaky OEM shocks and great for spirited street use.
