1962 Turn Signal/Brake Lights Problem
My boss just bought a 1962 Corvette and the turn signals don't work and only some of the brake lights work. Is this a problem in the turn signal switch?

Depends on what you mean by "some" of the brake lights work. If one is working on each side, the other on that same side should also work, since they're wired together. That would indicate a blown bulb. If neither is working on one side or the other, it could be the turn signal switch. With the ignition off, have him step on the brake pedal and wiggle the turn signal lever. If the brake lights work when he wiggles, it's the switch.

Hi Corvette Ed
I was looking for answers to my turn signal issues here. I believe my symptoms are the same as to what you must be experiencing.
I have a 1962 Vette with tail light and turn signal issues.
I had traced the problem to the turn signal switch.
But found a very informative You Tube on the whole problem I thought I would share with you.

It was not one of the Generals better designs! If this is his first C1 Corvette he better buy a few books to keep it running smoothly. The ST-12 is a must.
