In Stock 2019 Stingrays at the Big 3 Dealerships
I'm going back and forth on whether to go for the 2LT or the 1LT. Heated seats and dimming mirrors are nice, and the front camera is probably helpful, and that's it in terms of what I would value in a 2LT vs a 1LT. I've had HUD and I could take it or leave it. In reading the forums, seems like most people recommend getting at least the 2LT. But what I don't understand is why do the big three Corvette dealerships only have 2 or 3 2LTs in stock versus way more 1LTs? Are the 1LTs that much more popular in terms of sales and that's why the dealerships stock them?

Since the dealerships closed at 9pm tonight, it is now late August. END OF THE CORVETTE SUMMER BUYING SEASON
In January Chevy indicates it is taking the wraps off the C8. WANNA BUY A C7 AFTER CHRISTMAS?
BG continues to make C7's like there is no tomorrow - Chevy tells its dealers, "YOU TAKE YOUR FULL C7 ALLOTMENT NOW, OR YOU LOSE IT WHEN THE C8 SHIPS!"
Dealers been through this with every C change.
Better for Dealers to have a boatload of 1lt's on the lots, thereby taking their full allotment, and be able to do so without tying up so much dealer loan money in each C7 unit. They can lowball these 1LT's out the door for $45K, at which point they will sell to Joe Deal-Sniffer. The dealers will then make their nut on their full allotment of C8's, all of which will sell for Additional Dealer Markup (ADM) to Moe I-gotta-have-it-now!
Chevy dealerships know their clientele. They play us like a fine violin.

When I bought my 2LT I got quite a few options I had never had before in a Sports car. Front camera is nice, heads-up is really nice . . . and so on. I am sure I would have been happy with a 1LT, but I have to admit the extras are rather fun.

I just sold my 1LT C6 to Carmax. Will be looking specifically for a C7 1LT to replace it soon.
It’s a personal preference really. I just prefer a more basic car.

Those memory seats and the heated/cooled seat option are really nice. I've got 2LT and glad I did.

The reason they've loaded up on 1LTs is that they've figured out their biggest buyer component are the financial bottom-feeders that buy 1LTs.
This isn't rocket science. The numbers speak for themself!!

I just took a quick count on Kerbeck's inventory 29 1LT's vs 77 2LT's. I think that speaks volumes of which version is more popular. For the relatively small price difference of $4455 list which translates to $61.88/month over 72 months or $54.45/month after a 12% discount is calculated off the price of the car, most people realize the value of getting the car loaded with all the nice extras. "You don't miss what you don't have" could be the motto for those buying a 1LT but for many, the Corvette is the brass ring and why scrimp on options for the paltry difference in price when you are buying your dream car?

There used to be a lot more 2LT coupes at Kerbeck. They are getting bought quickly.
For me me it was 2LT only, my daily driver needed some luxury and I’m very happy I went this way. But sales numbers show the 1LT is the most popular as its fairly well loaded for a base offering.

https://kerbeck.com/new-corvette-inv...&action=filter. I suppose someone looking for the least expensive corvette would be more apt to choose a 1LT base coupe over a 1LT Grand Sport, so it makes sense that their 1LT inventory is the base flavor of the car.

There’s a lot of value to be had in a 1LT. A bare bones 1LT with no options can be had in the mid to low 40’s depending on incentives etc and will have the least depreciation typically. Some temporary exceptions to that are when a new model like the ZR1 that just came out, is in high demand for the gotta have it now crowd and one could buy one, drive it around for a little bit and unload to another gotta have it now person for little or no depreciation and maybe even jack the price up for California buyers who typically get gouged pretty good by the dealers out there ( savvy California buyers often just buy their new vettes from forum dealers back east like Macmulkin in NH).

It's all in what you want guitarman. If a 1LT suits your needs then that's the one for you, and the same goes for the 2LT/3LT. I went from a 3LT C6 to a 1LT C7 for a different reason than most. I haven't missed any of those little do-dads that come with the higher levels. I have learned now that all I need is a 1LT. And contrary to what Skid Mark Joe says, if you don't need all that other stuff why buy them? Make yourself happy, and post some pics when you get that new baby home. Welcome to the forum.

Only 178 3LT? This suggests that it's an option that's not worth the inventory costs--unless the 3LT's sell better earlier in the model run. I seem to remember that Spring Hill and rental agencies were running 3LTs a few years ago, which also suggests that these were not in high demand.

Contrary to what Rebel Smell says, why wouldn't you want your C7 loaded up with what you want?? Just because Rebel Smell doesn't have front cameras as well as numerous other safety features AND luxurious rich smooth leather interior, he doesn't want you to have them either. Rebel Smell bought the cheapest thing he could stretch into financially. Same as many did.
