Default Were these mirrors original?

I recently purchased a 75 convertible an am wondering if these mirrors were an option. I am guessing that they are not original to the car.

Aftermarket pieces. Not original to the car.

Pretty much what I figured. I will eventually get around to changing them to original style mirrors. Thanks

Close! Note that there is a black rubber cushion that correctly orients the mirror and which is missing on yours. Also, do you have an adjustable toggle on the inside of the door?

Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like yours have two angled screws on the base that go in from the outside. Certainly not OEM.

Original or not, Sport Mirrors are much preferred by some as they keep their adjustment, and aren't chrome. Stock sets come up for sale from time to time. But you can't go wrong either way on a convertible.

Your 1975 Corvette did not come with sport mirrors. 75 car was built with only one chrome plate mirror located on driver door. Sport mirrors were not an available option until 1977 production (D35).

If you go to change them the holes may be in the wrong spot. You may have to fill and paint them. They did that on my 72 and did a bad job.

Stock mirrors suck. Look straight back all you see is rear fender. Virtually any modern power or cable actuated mirror (must bolt to door, not flat surface that is part of the window frame) would be an upgrade, even without wiring or mounting cable. There are threads on this. C5-6 work well. Some Hondas, too.

Those look like the sport mirrors, minus the black rubber plastic gasket at the bottom.
75s came with the stock chrome mirrors, lots of guys went with the sport so they could color paint them.
On my 75 i went to the sport mirrors and then back to the stock mirrors.
Yes the mounting holes will Not line up-nor will the black plastic gasket cover the holes from the sport mirror if you go back.
Hope this helps

Thanks everyone. I do plan to get a paint job done down the road so I will probably go back to original at that time and have anything repaired that needs fixed.
