Default New metering block - dealer wanted

Hi folks,

this is the nag from Germany again .
I want to buy a new metering block with the correct power-valve and jets for the center-carb of my Vette as spare. Unfortunately "Chicago-Corvettes" does not react to my emails but tells me to phone with any questions (what is quiet difficult for me from Germany).

So my question to you:

Does anyone has a good adress to order those items by email (preferably with the part-numbers)?

I need the parts for my '69 427/400 (L68) with auto-trans.
Center-carb: Holley R4056 (Auto). Mine is stamped "5257" what I guess is correct for my car.

One or two Holley-Rebuilt-Sets with all the gaskets, seals, valves, etc. would be fine too.

Maybe one of you guys could order those items for me and send them to Germany? Payment before ordering and sending by Paypal. Extra fee for your efforts!

Regards from Germany
Gerrit

I would give Wilcox a call, everytime ive had an issue with anything from them they have bent over backwards to help, offering advice tips and knowledge on just about anything corvette related. I am certain they would make the arrangements to ship you what you need as long as there is no legal issues such as hazardous chemicals etc.. also they WILL know exactly what parts you need, or else they will find out. these guys don't just sell parts they know how they go together.

if calling isn't possible for you they do answer emails

That's what Wilcox answered:

"I'm sorry but I don't have anything to help you.

Willcox" .

At Ebay I can't find any user named "Holley Performance"

So my hopes depends on You ....

the original metering block is listed as N/S, not serviced. The power valve and jets are listed. You can try Summit Racing or Jegs to see if they ship to Germany.

ahh so its locating the parts he needs more then someone to ship it for him, I was wondering all along why one of the suppliers wouldn't ship it, if Wilcox, zips and ecklers, and corvette central, Chicago corvette, paragon corvette, summit or jegs don't have the part it isn't avail either in nos or repop.

That’s what “Holley Performance” answered:
Unfortuantely we no longer offer a replacement metering block for the 4056 center carb. If yours is beyond repair, there are some core carbs available on eBay (not from us) and you might need to purchase one of those and use the metering block from it.
.

Any more ideas?

Helpless regards Gerrit

as I said earlier if the suppliers listed and well known don't have it, then it isn't available, you MIGHT be able to find a junkyard item with their locator service but that's as much hit and miss as anything else, maybe its time to upgrade/replace,

That's, what Chicago-Corvette, rsp. Chicago-Carburators answered, after I've ordered the Metering-block from their page:

"The part is discontinued in our system but sometimes it isn't properly removed from our website as in this case. Here is a screen shot and the window on the right is from our inventory system which shows the part is discontinued. Unfortunately we have to cancel your order and you will not be charged. We apologize for the inconvenience."

There must be a source to get that damned part. There are several restored Tripower-Setups offered in the net. Somewhere, they must get those parts for restauration from ....

Wonder if AED, QF etc may be able to source, or even make you one.
