Corsa Xtreme 14132 without the X-Pipe
Has anyone installed the Corsa Xtreme 14132 Axle back system without the 14131 X-Pipe? Will this bolt directly to the stock exhaust? Everything I read says it is to be used with the x-pipe, but I want to know if that is just a recommendation, or requirement. While it may be easy enough, I am not sure I want to cut the stock exhaust.

Recommendation. All cat back systems bolt up the same.
I'd put the X pipe on your list as it makes for a much nicer exhaust note IMO, but not necessary in any way.

grantv,
Thanks for the response and recommendation. The difference in price is minimal and I do have access to a lift, making the job easier. If I am going to do it, I should probably just commit.

About a month ago I had dealership put my Corsa Extreme catback on my car, direct bolt up. I bought the extremes with the four 4" tips they look better than the 3 1/2" tips (my opinion) but they cost $1,300 instead of $1,200 for the 3 1/2". My vette mechanic says they also have a deeper tone when it idles with the 4" tips. That's my .02 cents. I found the Borla 2 1/2" x-pipe for $230.00 off eBay. I'm modding my car also.
