Default Need Help on Tires in San Diego

Well I actually made it to 18,000 miles with my original factory tires, I may have pushed it though my back left tire keeps leaking down to 20 psi every other week and my front right tire is at 1 psi so it's now un-drivable. Any good tire shops to recommend in San Diego to replace the tires? Most shops don't work on Vettes here... Also what tires should I get, I want something cost effective that will last a long time.

Thank you!

Most shops won't work on Vette's even for tires? First I've heard of that. I always use Bear's Tires.

They are really good at low profile tires and are super nice guys. Ask for Tony and let him know what you have. They have done 3 sets of cup 2 Zp’s and zero scratches or issues.

Discount Tire in Kearny Mesa has some very high end machines, and will give discounts if you are member of the Corvette Club of San Diego. We had a meeting there earlier this year, and the manager showed of some of the equipment they have. He does a lot of Vettes.

I agree with North County Wheel in Escondido. They are the only place I have found that can seat the bead on our rear ZPs without a problem.

Discount Tire in Kearny Mesa. They just purchased the new Hunter Tire Machine. Works great for our tires and wheels.

I've had good luck with COSTCO in Carmel Mountain. Just had them install a set of Michelin Super Sport ZP's a few months ago with no problems whatsoever. I've bought four or five sets of tires from them over the years. Good prices, good service.

Do NOT use Bear tires, I sent my tires and wheels to them this week and they could not get the tires to seat.... They called up and said: "Come pick up you tires we can't do it" ..

Huge waste of time as they were recommended here and they promised me they could do the job and they could not.....

I have used Discount Tire in La Mesa. I had a run-flat repaired there.

You might try Preston Tire and wheels in La Mesa. Near Grossmont Mall.
