Washing car with XPEL
Hi guys...just wondering what products is safe to use on my vehicle. It has the XPEL paint protection film. It was then given a clear coating of Simioz after. I only had the car since Thursday and has a few minor dirty spots. Thanks

1. Water (filtered if you have it) and soap.
2. Master Blaster air dry (lite pressure follow-up with scratch-free cloth where needed).
3. That's it.

Had my whole car covered with xpel about a month ago. The installer I used said I could "treat it just like paint" and use whatever products I usually like to use. However, there are also warnings, including from xpel, about using products that include petroleum distillates. Makes sense to me. Google is your friend for that info and is much better than my memory. Anyway, here is what I have used and I am totally happy with how they have worked so far.
Right after I got it back from the installer, I washed with my usual wash and sealed it with this. It gave a really nice, super smooth, high gloss finish that beads water really nice and is really easy to clean. I use the same Meguiar's soap for regular washing and when I have things like bugs, tar, or other sticky, nasty road goo, I spray it with this. That stuff is magical. I just mist on a very light coat of it onto whatever I want to dissolve before I start washing the car. I let it sit for maybe 5 minutes or so while I get set up (fill my buckets etc) and then rinse it off. With just that, whatever goo I am trying to remove is already totally gone. Great stuff. The sealant likely helps too.
I will probably reapply the sealant every 2-3 months. I am guessing that one bottle will probably last me a couple of years at that rate. In between, I am using a quick detailer and spray wax. Both have worked great. I have also used a waterless wash. Again, great results. Yes, there is a theme here. I do like the Meguiars products. However, I know there are other comparable products that would work just as well. Again, it is probably worth at least considering the warnings about petroleum distillates and doing a little research on the contents of the products and whether they are compatible with ppfs.
My $0.02.

You can use any non abrasive wax product, most wash and use a spray detail product, the softer the product you use on the plastic the longer it will stay swirl and scratch free. Have been using clear plastic wrap for 15 plus years, and wrap my cars 100%, every painted and or carbon fiber surface

I mostly use waterless car wash products (Adams) and only use the hose/bucket method after getting caught in bad weather with road grime.

Mine has been covered since early 2015. I use Adam's products to wash it, master blaster to dry it. I also user their paint sealant to keep it all looking good. I drive and track the car and it still looks great. The sealant is especially good at getting off the black streaks from the track

I recently found out you can take isopropyl alcohol and dilute it with water and rub off any marks in the xpel from being hit by debris. You can also use a q-tip along edges to remove dirt/dust that collects.
I use carpro reset (shampoo) from autogeek.net

Just soap and water with very little effort and dry with a clean chamois.
