Default Instructions for aligning door glass '85 driver

On the "tilt" adjust screw which direction (CW/CCW) moves the glass in or out?
How sensitive is the screw? Approx how many turns moves glass how far?
Last thing I want to do is bind the glass and break it.
Also I've been reading posts about C5 + and see referencing to "indexing" the window....could someone explain what that means
Thanks
Frank

you have to adjust tilt by hand, the tilt bolt you speak of is either tight or loose it doesn't make any adjustment, normally in my experience its never just a one adjustment , theres several that all affect the others such as window bumpers, stop brackts. it seems to be a learned process and not simple.

EDIT: OR ANY OTHER TIPS FOR ALIGNING WINDOW
Hi Frank,
There is no easy method its quite a complex involved process to get the alignment right.
Trail and error and you learn as you go, if the weatherstrips are CRC or Corvette Central they should fit correctly however some brands have size issues.
Firstly check the side window is in the correct position to A , B and roof weatherstrips. Firstly check the side window is parallel to the B pillar angle, then check to A pillar and to roof weatherstrips. Correct glass to regulator to align to pillars before adjusting the tilt, then adjust the tilt to where the glass just touches the roof and side weatherstrips at first click of the door latch when not fully closed. The glass should just touch no pressure on weatherstrips at first latch catch, before adjusting the tilt angle loosen the anti rattle pads (with felt cushions) to allow tilt movement of the glass.

I would start by closing the door window up and from inside the car loosen the guide bolt inside door and tighten again, then open and close door see if the top of glass is in too far. If it hits the weatherstrip before first catch of door latch do the following, open door get someone to hold the glass while you loosen the guide bolt and then pull the glass outwards a bit and tighten the bolt while they hold it. then check again and repeat till its just touching the top roof weatherstrip and tip side of A and B pillars at first latch catch, then confirm the window alignment height and tilt is correct before adjusting the felt anti rattle tabs.
The side window height is regulated by the rear guide height and front limit bracket, its a tedious process of trail and error getting it just right.
Good luck
Gerard

I think indixing referees to the C5 window open/closing slightly when the door is opened/closed. Is all of the window hardware original,if so look at all of the witness marked on the adjustment parts to get it close to where you need it and go from there.
