I would be Ken, but if I told the bride about it I wouldn't live to see the car arrive.
It's a good lookin' color, and I would surely love to have a new GS in Elkart Blue.

My first post after months of lurking and learning! After figuring out museum delivery wasn't gonna work out and having talked to a couple of dealers who were all great, my local dealer (still fairly large for Corvettes) made me a great deal and I decided to go for it, since I needed to go ahead and get something this year and not wait another 6 months for spring. Elkhart Lake Blue Z06, Kalahari, M7 and 2LZ! Can't wait!

Right now I’m really torn. Vert or coupe. SO or ELBM. If blue go with red seats? I am a 1LT guy so that part is simple. The rest not so much.
I Wish I could see ELBM. I was a huge fan of Admiral Blue but finding a 1LT MT vert now is near impossible. I know where one is but they are going 10% under MSRP. I have been offered 12% under to order and have heard of some getting 13% so I am still narrowing it down. If I could get the in stock AB for 12% off I would just buy it.
Ah to be so lucky to have these problems 😎
This is my ELBM build.

Dual Silver Stripes
Battery Protection
2019 Grand Sport Coupe 2LT
Elkhart Lake Blue

They should be two great looking cars

As I've pointed out, the true color of ELBM is nothing like the GM website renderings are. ELBM is VERY close to Laguna Blue but with a bit more metalflake
Here are some pics

HOWEVER, bear in mind that ELBM is NOT a tintcoat color as was Laguna Blue

Negatives would be increased cost and soft top maintenance (roll some 303 protectant on twice a year).

I ordered a GS Vert. I don't track it and live in Florida. The vert offers a slightly quieter ride top up, much less turbulence than the targa top down. The waterfall is slick looking in the interior. The exhaust note when the top is down is pretty much as good as is gets. Top goes up or down at up to 30mph. A bit less road/exhaust noise in the vert since it does not have the echo chamber of the hatch. Slightly smaller cabin with well insulated top should make it a bit easier to climate control the cabin. State Farm insurance was actually a little cheaper on the vert vs. the coupe.
Negatives would be increased cost and soft top maintenance (roll some 303 protectant on twice a year).

The blue looks awesome and you should be very pleased with it. I ordered the torch red because this is my first ever Vette and I always felt that if I bought one it would be the brightest red they offered.
