The back edge of my trunk lid is lowerthan the edge of the back body panel that runs behind the seats. If I slide my fingers along the top of the truck to the back, my fingers bump into that edge. I noticed a screw like gear that appears to be pushing upwards on the underside of the rear body panel. Does that screw control the height of the back panel? If I turn it to the left, will the edge come down?

Pictures would help.....I have an '05 & don't see any "screw like gear". The back edge of the trunk is held down by the lock mechanism so any needed adjustment would be made with that.

No, turning it to the left (counter clockwise) should raise the edge.
