Default C6 Mufflers

Hello. Brand new to the forum. Recently purchased a 2013 Grand Sport 3LT w/15k miles.

Been driving it a little and I'd like it to sound better. Don't really care about performance gains at this point, just want it to sound better.

Please give me your thoughts on a set of mufflers.

Thanks....

Just installed Corsa Sport as I plan on some road trips and did not want constant drone or roar of some of the aggressive systems. After driving the last few days I feel I made the right choice. It performs as advertised.

If you're strictly going the muffler route, I highly recommend a pair of the MagnaFlow 11236.

Interesting. Do they have a nice muscle car sound? I don't mind droning as this is not my DD. Just bi-weekly Saturday night cruises .

Thanks

They are nice and deep, no raspy sound. I guess there is a little drone but not bad at all in my opinion. I also have a manual so you can easily shift out of it.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new ride. Is your GS equipped with the NPP exhaust? If so, the simple addition os a Mild to Wild switch may provide you with the sound you want. Check the RPO codes in your glove box for the code NPP. Here is a video showing what the NPP exhaust sounds like.

If you don't mind drone and really truly want to sound like what a Corvette should sound like then the only option is B&B Bullets.

I have a 2005 with BB Bullets. They are head turners. Awesome!

Default Billy boat PRT.

I’m on my second grandsport convertable manual trans .the billy boat PRT s have a nice deep sound ,no drown and only loud when on the throttle hard. They have the best tips at 4 inches .they are a little louder than my first GS with the NPP exhaust when run open. I like the B.B. PRT s a lot

Thanks. So are they pretty quiet at normal speed? I dont romp on the throttle too often. I dont mind the droning.

Thanks

If you don't have NPP exhaust then search on here for stock muffler mods. Drill some holes, patch things up, and get a louder exhaust. You might want to try that before spending money on new exhaust.
You might also go to a Corvette club meeting and listen to various exhaust to make an informed choice.

Borla has some of the best exhausts for Corvette. Check out their video that gives information on 3 different types.
