look at your SPID sticker - IIRC, should be under the console lid on your 89. most likely it's listed as upper and lower (U or L). anyway, you should be able to figure it out. example --

match the code to this site -- http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...model=Corvette

White will be a 'very' difficult match. Do you know if the paint is original or maybe a recent 'repaint'? Have a discussion with a local refinishing supplier or paint shop to discuss it.

According to The Corvette Black Book, the code for white paint in 1989 was code 10. if it is the original paint.

- GM's first use of code "10" was in 1936, and the color was "harlequin tan." the first use of the number 10 associated with the color white was with the 1987 corvette, and GM "white/10" continues through into 2018. "10" is a GM color identifier, and is more associated with make/model/year. it has nothing to do with the actual paint formula. anytime I need a pint for touch-up, I always give the "WA" number to my paint supplier.

I’m glad you found it. I should have known better, but I only had my Black Book handy at the time and it doesn’t list the WA codes. My SPID label is under the rear compartment door and lists the WA number there.
