This picture is much closer to telling the story.
With a wide angle lens in the first picture by the OP and the cars further apart, it looks like the C8 has 24 inch rims if you don't account for perspective and lens distortion. However, it also shows that the height of the rear end is not taller than the C7. The rear has a slight downward slope from the top of the wheel well and back. The C7 continues upwards. The very far back end of the deck height is shorter than the C7, not taller.
From all the pictures we have seen I have concluded that:
The C8 is not bigger than the C7 in any dimension, and is likely wider and lower. The belt line with the camo looks slightly higher, most likely due to a shorter roof height and not from the distance to the ground. A member of the forum who actually had his lowered C6 next to a mule said the mule was as low if not lower than his dropped C6. The c8 has a much tighter waist, giving a perception of wide hips. It has deeper and more dramatic contouring that give it a real sense of sculpture even beyond the already beautiful C7.
So much for chunky, high, slab-like and blah. Some people be smoking some seriously potent crack.

The C8 looks bigger
Hopefully it's just perspective in the photo and it's not. Bigger is often better but not with respect to performance cars IMO.

Would be easier to see the comparision if someone could just create or chose any color and fill it in on the c8 mule. That swirling paint makes it hard for many of is to see the vehicle as it is...even in this comparision shot..
anybody skilled enough to try and do that with the c8 prototype in this photo and then allow us to see the two together,
make it silver ?
by squinting i can appreciate the greenhouse shift forward..should be pretty cool.
You guys think this will be as low as a mclaren or will the greehouse be taller to better fit americans getting in and out easier? I hope its as low but from what im seeing it looks to be a little taller than the mclarens..

That first shot with the cars further apart appears to be shot from much MUCH further away, thus it had to be done with a LONGER and narrow angle lens. The 2nd shot with the two cars closer is actually shot with a SHORTER and wider angle lens. You have it backwards.

Nope -- but it will morph into some actual feature of the C8 being a bit polarizing and there will be another battle royale in this Forum over it!
I'm paraphrasing a bit here, but a pundit once stated that you can tell how trivial a controvery is by how passionately the two sides argue about it!
