Default Wife too short for the passenger seat??

So, I currently have a blown 2009 C6, dynoing around 600 with a centri. I have been wanting to try out a C7 ZO6, as a possible next car. Hertz finally decided to start renting them, so I went up to DFW and rented one for a day.
Overall, I think I like it. The screws give it way more low end boost than I was used to, that was fun. The biggest challenge for me is my back. So the comfort of the seats was of primary concern. The Hertz version uses the Comp seats. In trying to get comfortable in them, I ended up pushing out the rib bolster a ways, as I'm a barrel chested kinda guy, and no way I was going to fit down in the gap. With the bolsters up, I feel like I'm leaning back on my shoulder blades, my spine not making it to the seat. Is this common? Even set up like this, I was still comfy after an hour drive around. And that comfort is what matters for me.
But then my 5'3" wife got in the passenger seat, and THAT was a problem. The armholes are way too high for her, she can't possibly fit her arms inside the rib bolsters, and hanging them over the edge of the seat was very uncomfortable as well.
Thoughts? Other folks run into this issue with shorter drivers/passengers? Do the base seats have the same set up (I have heard they have the same frame, but I don't know how it pads out, etc.).
Thanks.

Sounds like the standard seats would be the way to go.

id suggest driving to any chevy dealer and sitting in their base seat corvette.

just call ahead and make sure they have one at your local chevy dealer..

a lot of people dont like the competition seats for the reasons you described both by you and your better half.

sounds like thats the right seat for you and your beautiful wife,

good luck deciding,

Might end up with a few less teeth in that smile with such a suggestion. Feisty.

My wife is 5’2 and likes going for rides with the standard seats.

I haven't tried the comp seats in our cars but i did give rides to a couple of girls. Both girls were between 5'0 - 5'5. Neither of them had a problem with the seating. If anything the only issue they had with the car was that it was too "cramped".

They're not too fond of small sports cars. And it's funny that they like the GTR better. Sigh lol

Oh, the other thing I thought was strange, my spine didn't touch the seat. My shoulders were sitting out on the bolsters instead. It was OK, seemed comfy, if a bit angled and weird. If I had one of these seats, I'd add some pad to get the seat back out enough.

Same with me lol.

I think the stock seats in the C7 are pretty bad in terms of lumbar. My wrx has better seats. I can actually sit straight up against the seat in perfect positioning. If i sit up straight in the Z, i can't get the angle of the seat right to where it's comfortable.

Both cars are manual so that's a big deal, seating position and comfort. If i had auto's, i guess it doesn't matter how you sit

Get a 2lz or 3lz. They have adjustable passenger seats if I recall correctly I think they can be raised or lowered. Are you sure you want to get a c7z?

i got into a c7z from a 100 percent stock 2009 z06. I will say the low end grunt of the c7z is very good. But I miss the high rpm rush of the c6z. The c6z seems to be faster on the big end or it feels faster. C7z peters out up high with the puny factory 1.7 supercharger

I’ve had girls from 4’11 to 6’1 in my comp seats never a complaint. squish yourself into it and tighten the belt down and rock and roll, don’t worry about where you think her arms should go, she’ll be just fine.

Hes right about a stage 3. Stage 1 will blow the doors off a C6Z. Especially A8 from 20-30 mph roll. You'll need a telescope at the very least in the C6 to see where the C7 went lol.

My wife is 4'11" and she never complains about the standard 2LZ seats or arm positioning. She even drives the car with no issues at all...

You'd find it super-slow, compared to your Z06.

I hate old cars honestly.

Even if those old classics are worth 300k, 500k, 1 million bucks etc. It doesn't interest me one bit. I hate old stuff.

I'll definitely pick any new car over that old one. Even a new civic si or something lol

And yes the C6 is like going back to CD players. No thanks. It was a great car to own, at the time i did. But i've moved on.

And i can't wait to move on again when the C8 comes around.

A new civic or Audi has about as much interest to me as a washing machine or refrigerator. You can have your new civic. I’ll take a black 66 big block corvette or black 71 hemi cuda. —And you can drink new wine out of a box while eating tofu salad at the fancy new restaurant you drive your new electron blue civic too 😂

I'm at big guy @ 6'2" at 270+ lbs....and oddly enough, the comp seats are the most comfortable I have out of almost of my cars, save for my 911. The women in the passenger seat have ranged from 5'4" to 6'...and were always comfortable in there.

I guess I would try the standard seats if the comp seats were uncomfortable.
