I know that bronze and gold were colors for the 80s c4’s, but what about later body (the 91+)?
today i saw a gold 91+ body c4 - it looked gorgeous as im not used to seeing that color on late models.
was that color a factory option ? Or re paint?

Copper is a rare color because Chevrolet was unable to consistently paint cars without defects. The bumpers were painted separately and rarely matched the body. Copper was offered and discontinued several times.

I recently discovered this color existed last year. At the Newport car museum they had a corvette event day and gave money off for the museum etc. They had old magazines about corvettes and one had a late model C4 on the cover in that color. Just when you think you know just about everything about C4s... copper metallic

Gold and bronze were not available after 89 as production Corvette colors. Copper metallic in 94. The car could be a 84-88 with updated bumpers, a special build ( unlikely) ,or a repaint.

Here is a mid year ZR1 I believe. He's a forum member and I took a picture of his car this year at Corvettes at Carlisle at the ZR1.Net area. Beautiful paint but not the original color. Still gorgeous car.

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, it is a 1991 ZR-1, that I had repainted Copper Metallic (U66), because I always loved that color from 1994 and the fact GM never produced a ZR-1 in that color for the public.
