First time I've ever seen anyone driving a Corvette like an azzhole. Sorry to report that it was a C5 Z06. Corvette drivers are usually safe and courteous. This one was not. I hope it isn't anyone on this forum.
I work on an army base. From his route he was taking it appeared that he might have been just cutting through the base to save time. He was certainly in a hurry.
Just a reminder to all of us to be safe and courteous to other drivers!
Was it spirited driving or reckless? There's a big difference between controlled aggressive driving while staying on the correct side of the road, and low skill aggressive driving with letting the rear wheels slide out, coming way too close to other cars, etc.

Just like drivers of any other car model, Corvette drivers are not exempt from being idiots out on the road. There have been plenty of videos posted here on the forum that bear that out. If the driver you saw was truly being reckless, then too bad he wasn’t stopped and ticketed.

I thought access to military installations was pretty limited any more.
One place I never wanted to speed or drive recklessly was a military facility. Sure would have hated to lose installation driving privileges and walked!

If i'm not in a hurry, and there is room, i usually let someone go around me.

I wouldnt say one guy being a dhead one day is giving all corvette drivers a bad name
Some corvette drivers give themselves a bad enough name when they open their mouths
As also happens with every performance car owners. Personally, I go out of my way to be over the top courteous to other drivers to the sometimes road rage irritation of other drivers. But I have equalizers in the car to 'confront' road rage.

Never understood this perspective...we all drive in public everyday with our license plates on full display...

That’s like saying posting a picture of someone’s face and putting their name on it on the Internet is OK because we all walk in public, you really don’t see what’s wrong with that. Besides we don’t know if the owner was even driving the car?
It ain’t cool no matter how you frame it, not in my opinion. You want to post your own identity on open forum, go ahead but shouldn’t put someone else’s........

I agree with posting the picture was not appropriate. I see this on Facebook a lot. 'This guy ran a school bus etc'. I don't know the person posting the picture, I don't know who's car it is, or if it's even true. It sets a bad precedent. Anyone can take a picture of my car and say this guy just ran over a puppy. In case you haven't noticed, there are some unhinged lunatics out there that will see it and do something about it.
My bad...lunatic internet stalkers definitely cause more property damage, injuries and death to innocent people than azzhole drivers. Thanks for setting us all straight.

Nobody is condoning reckless driving in this thread, op could simply tell the story without the pic or at minimum blur the tag out. Do you know what happened or who was driving the car? Was it the owner? Probably, but who knows. Most people think its wrong to post up other people’s personal info, the op may simply not of thought about it, he could edit it. I have pointed it out before and people usually realize it’s wrong and edit the post. Or not
Who knows what the circumstanes were, as a transit operator in a large city I see some real reckless drivers and soon find out that the car was stolen and police are actively looking for it.
