Dirt keeps coming off...
Hey everyone
I'm detailing my car for the second time (first time was't a succes).
No matter what I do, dirt keeps coming off the car.
I washed the car 2 times in a row, and began claying with meguiar's quik detailer as lubricant.
No matter how many times I clay a surface, after a couple of 'sweeps' the clay turns brown (dirty).
I've used up the whole bottle and just finished the rear top...
What am I doing wrong. Or is it normal to spent hundert dollar on detailing spray when claying the whole car?
The seems clean to me and shines after I wash it (before I began to clay) so that can't be the problem.

Forget about what the clay looks like for a minute and feel the paint (put your hand in a plastic baggie and light feel the paint. Do you still feel any debris?
You can use soapy water instead of detail spray with no problems, just make sure it's really soapy. The clay should never really touch the paint, just glide on the lubricant and catch any stuck on debris. When it glides freely with no noticeable tick tick tick of it picking up grit then you're done claying and need to move to the next step. If it's draggin on the surface then more lube or it's rubbing the paint.
If it's still picking up grit (tick tick tick) then the paints loaded with grit and you may want to use a decon spray (if it's iron) before claying

if its the original black lacquer then your removing paint . it might be bet to find a professional detail shop that knows lacquer to wet sand and buff. you might do more harm then good
