LOL, I suspect I'll be the only one there driving an M7 Z51, which will certainly motivate me. I went through Levels 1 and 2 at Spring Mt. 12 years ago, and was always placed in the "fast group," so hopefully I won't embarrass myself too badly. Unfortunately, turning fast laps is not exactly like riding a bicycle, and I'm definitely rusty having not done any track work in 6-7 years.

Yes, I know it's far different than the full-blown 3-day courses in which we did open track sessions without instructors and w/ passing allowed on the straights. Instructors stood in every corner, and gave us feedback as we did actual timed sessions. Lead/Follow-only work makes things more "relaxing."

Perf,
You don't want pointers from me. There are plenty of pros there, and you should only listen to them. I look forward to meeting you.

Bad luck. I've been there twice before and had blue skies throughout. Looks like we be using "Weather" mode for more than just the one segment of the program where they show you how impossible it is to lose the rear end in water!

I wouldn't worry about it, and forecasts are inaccurate this far out. I'm seeing a 40-50% chance of rain, which indicates showers only, not a steady rain, and we're just as likely to see nothing. I'd actually be happy w/ overcast skies, and I'd even enjoy the opportunity to see what the car can do on wet pavement.
It's nearly 100ºF there this week with the sun out. The forecast highs in the mid 80s look a lot better to me.
