A base motor car with some small things wrong .... seems like it's a decent car though...
I wouldn't let mine go for that...

Just says “327 engine.” Did I miss where they said “original, matching or correct?”
Did Vettefest Spinner awards check numbers?

I didn't even get that far, frankly I'm somewhat taken aback lately with the rash of repro trim tags and maybe even VIN tags...not even talking about engine stamp pads (Ugh !)

That has been going on for 40 years that I know of.
Based on the brief description and pictures I would say that is true market value for that car. At least both the buyer and seller thought so.

Just a reminder there maybe a 10% buyer's premium that needs to be added to that number unless R&M puts it on already when showing the final sale price. Also the seller has to pay a 10% commission on the hammered price!

In a word yes. I judged for many years in the C1 category at VetteFest and we judged engine stamp pads. To anticipate the next comment......many of the judges were also top NCRS and Bloomington judges and knew their stuff including Bill Braun who essentially ran the judging group for years.

[QUOTE=RJ1;1598026755]Yes, but I never factor that in as a bystander because it is kind of a wash. I am sure the buyer believes he paid (and did) the extra premium and the seller KNOWS he got charged and netted less than the sales price. I think that the sales price minus the sellers fees is what a private party seller can expect to get for a like condition car at the most.

The Educated buyers are getting smarter holding back ,
Dealers are jumping to make a profit from the panic buyers .
My corvette sold for 90,000 no cost to sellers fees .Matching numbers corvette
It was on market for 5 months I think he was asking 106,000 ,who knows what the hammer price was.
